🎉 Five Years Ago, I Did Something Crazy—And It Worked 🎉
You know I like to switch things up, and today is no different. We're taking a trip down memory lane, all the way back to about four years ago. Why? Because that's when I hit a fitness milestone that still makes me grin like a kid in a candy store: reaching 10% body fat!
🍞 The Grain Game—Adios!
Alright, so, five years ago, I made a bold choice. I waved goodbye to all grains—no more beer, no more cereal, no more oatmeal, and yes, even the beloved bread and pizza was shown the door.
🍠 Hello, Fruits and Sweet Potatoes
Nah, nah, nah—I didn't kick carbs to the curb. My training and the sport of CrossFit requires a ton of carbohydrates. I just invited better ones to the party. Fruits and sweet potatoes became my new carb BFFs, and let me tell you, they didn't disappoint. 🍎🍌🍠
📉 Dropping Body Fat Like It's Hot
What happened next? I watched my body fat take a dive. And get this—I was full. Not just "I had a salad" full, but "Thanksgiving dinner without the food coma" full. You have to work hard to get enough calories when you skip calorie dense grains.
🏆 The Results Speak For Themselves
Fast forward to today, and that 10% body fat milestone still holds a special place in my heart (and abs!). It was a game-changer for my body and performance, and even five plus years later, I'm reaping the benefits.
