When I started Bolder Athlete in August 2023, it was a leap of faith—a mission to give Masters athletes like us a training home that respects our grit and goals. Now, nearly two years later, we’re over 500 strong, and you’ve told me loud and clear: you want more ways to jump in. So, I’m thrilled to share that we’ve expanded Bolder Athlete with a brand-new Scaled Track, launching May 12. Here’s why this means so much to me—and how it’s built for you.

Earlier this year, I sent out a survey to our Bolder Athlete crew. The feedback hit me hard: they love the programming, but some wanted more accessible options to ease into the intensity. Some are new to CrossFit, coming back after a break, or just want to build confidence with the basics. I get it—starting can be intimidating, even for a 49-year-old champ like me who was once out of shape at 38. That’s why I’ve added the Scaled Track, bringing our total to seven unique paths. Whether you’re chasing a podium or just a stronger you, there’s a spot for you.
The New Scaled Track: Your Way In
The Scaled Track is all about meeting you where you are. It’s packed with foundational movements—think scaled squats, push-ups, or lighter lifts—with clear options to progress at your pace. It’s perfect for anyone who’s been on the sidelines, hesitant to dive into tougher workouts. I wish I’d had this when I started CrossFit; it would’ve made those first burpees less scary. And with our deload week kicking off May 19, it’s the ideal time to jump in—low intensity, big reset, and a chance to ease into the Bolder Athlete vibe.

Why This Matters to Me
Creating Bolder Athlete was a risk—I left the safety of big training camps to build something for us. Seeing over 500 of you thrive, hitting PRs, feeling stronger, and ditching aches, fuels me. The Scaled Track is personal. It’s for the folks who remind me of where I started: eager but unsure, ready but needing a nudge. With our deload week (May 19-25), you can test the waters, find your groove, and join a community that’s got your back.
